As an Iranian who grew up eating traditional Persian food, I’m very familiar with how popular Iranian dishes are supposed to taste, so I had high expectations when visiting this restaurant. Unfortunately, our dinner experience was very disappointing. The first issue was the portion size, especially the amount of meat in the khoresh dishes. Both the Khoresh Gheymeh and Ghormeh Sabzi had an extremely small amount of meat — literally only about three tiny pieces per serving — which felt unacceptable considering these dishes traditionally rely on a good balance of stew and meat. The taste was also disappointing. The Gheymeh had an unusual flavor that did not resemble the authentic dish I know, and I couldn’t identify what seasoning or ingredient was creating that taste. The texture and flavor gave the impression that the stew had been frozen and reheated rather than freshly prepared. The rice was another letdown; it was dry and lacked the richness and texture expected from properly prepared Persian rice. Finally, the presentation and serving style made the experience worse. It was so good that I couldn't take a picture of it cuz that we ate it so DANG fast! The number nine lamb fillet kabob was amazing. Order ahead of time to save time

Like everything, it is pricey. I do not think the rice add-on was worth it because it reduced the size of the bread. The bread for the non-rice plate was huge -- a full plate. It was interesting and very good. The beef and lamb were both very good.

We came to Shiraz Shish Kebab because of the strong Google rating and number of reviews, expecting rich and flavorful Persian/Middle Eastern food. Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to the hype. We ordered beef, lamb, and chicken kebabs with rice. The plates were heavily loaded with rice, but the portion of protein felt small for the price. The vegetables were borderline burnt, and the meal overall lacked depth and flavor. There were no sauces provided, which made everything taste dry and one-dimensional. Having had excellent Middle Eastern food before, this was noticeably underwhelming. Service also left something to be desired. The staff, particularly at the front, did not seem welcoming or engaged. For what we paid, there are better options in town. The high rating is surprising given the food quality and overall experience. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning.
